Death of Brother Peter Daniels

Dear Friends,

It is with deep sadness that I inform you that Brother Peter passed away peacefully on 27th of October.

I received a call from his daughter, Pauline, this evening who informed me that he had died at about 01:00pm.

I have informed Brother Tom Mckinlay who will inform Head Office tomorrow morning.

As information becomes available I will let you know.

Please keep Peter, Betty and their family in your prayers at this sad time.

Regards,

Hugh Scott

Masses FYI

Hi guys,

Just some info about latin masses at Immaculate Heart (Barlornock) incase you are interested:

Immaculate Conception Mass  (holy day)

Monday 8th December at 12.30pm
(I am working and cant go to this.  I will go to the Edinburgh FSSP Church after work).

Requiem mass
Saturday, 13th of December at 11.30am.

(I am going to this – it is for Monsignor Boyle, recently deceased, who was chaplain of Una Voce – there is an article about him in the attached newsletter.)

Best regards

Brother Jim Killen

Brothers,
It is with great sorrow that I have to inform you of the death of Brother James Killen.
At our Council Meeting tonight Brother Eddy Heaphy, informed us that he had tried to contact Bro. Jim to arrange for Brothers to visit him only to be told that he had passed away on 14th November.
Brother Jim, a Golden Jubilarian,  was the longest serving Brother in Council 22, having joined the Order in 1946 and been 68 years in this his only Council.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:
Reception & Vigil at 06:00pm at St Benidict’s Church, Drumchaple on Tuesday 25th November.
Requiem Mass at 09:30am on Wed.26th November thereafter to Clydebank Crematorium, North Dallnotar at 11:00am.
At this time we do not know what, if any, part the family wish us to take in these arrangements but, if any Brother can attend either of the Ceremonies,
we would be grateful for your support.
If Brothers could please pray for the repose of the Soul of Brother Jim we would be grateful.
fraternal regards,
HUGH SCOTT
Grand Knight
Council 22

All Saints + Una Voce AGM

Hi all,

Just some info for you, incase you fancy going to any of these latin masses:
If any of you are interested in going, please let me know and we can make arrangements.

Saturday 1st November – All Saints

Two options:

St Andrews (SSPX), Renfrew Street, City Centre – 10am
Immaculate Heart of Mary, (Diocese), Barlornock – 11.30am

I am going to the Immaculate Heart mass, which is a sung mass – I don’t know about the other, but its probably a low mass.  (IHOM is also quite near my new house).

Saturday 15th November – Solemn Mass + Una Voce AGM

This is at St Andrews (Ravelston) in Edinburgh – 12 noon.

There is a solemn mass and then the AGM.  The speaker at the AGM is Father Emerson, the American priest who was at Cambuskenneth recently.

Fred Stone (Chairman) advises non-members of Una Voce are more than welcome to go to this event, but as observers (i.e. not allowed to question the speaker).  See the email from Fred below, which I got after Cambuskenneth.

If you want to go, you have to take a packed lunch (tea and coffee supplied).

Cheers
Graham
